For the sake of sartorial completeness, many men will have suits intended for different occasions; weddings, funerals, weekends and the office, for example. A bespoke garment is made entirely from scratch by taking detailed body measurements. A pattern is derived before a series of fittings is conducted with the client, literally hand sewing the garment together to achieve the perfect fit. Years of experience by a master tailor is required to successfully deliver this type of garment.

A made to measure suit also uses customer measurements but uses an existing pattern or ‘block’ to create the pattern. Normally requires less fittings as the first fitting is conducted using the finished garment.

Custom made refers to the process of making garments that are specific to a clients needs, both in fit and design. Both bespoke and made-to-measure services can offer customisations but it depends on the brand’s capability as to how much of the design and fit can be altered.

Measuring for a suit takes years of experience by an experienced fitter.. We offer in-person fittings for those in Melbourne, as well as virtual fittings conducted over a video call. 

We guide customers on how to take body measurements during our virtual fittings. A following up call is made once the garments are delivered to ensure correct fit.
